Types of Renewable Energy Sources

From : http://www.hobianglala.blogspot.com

During this time many countries that rely on energy sources of coal, petroleum and natural gas. However, reliance on fossil fuels become a major problem. This is due to the limitations of fossil fuels as a natural resource that is not renewable. Eventually the world will run out of fossil fuels or fossil fuels will become a very expensive if to be maintained as an energy source. In addition, fossil fuels is causing air pollution, water and soil and produce greenhouse gases (green house gases) that contribute to global warming.

Renewable energy resources like wind, sunlight, water power offers a cleaner option to replace fossils fuels. Fewer resources or even do not pollute or produce greenhouse gases. And resources will remain available.

1. Solar Energy
The sun is the biggest energy source. Sunlight, or solar power can be used to heating, providing lighting, or cool the house or other buildings, generate electricity, heat water and various industrial processes. Most energy sources renewable derived either directly or indirectly from the sun. For example, the heat from the sun causes the wind blowing, play a role in the growth of trees and other plants used as biomass energy plays a significant role very important in the cycle of evaporation and seepage of water that allows energy.

2. Wind Energy
Wind is air movement that occurs due to warm air rises and cold air replaces hot air flow. Wind energy has been used for centuries ago to move the sailboat and moving windmill which grain processing. Now the wind is used to drive turbines that generate electric energy.

3. Energy Water
Water flowing from upstream to downstream is a very large energy. Water is a renewable resource, which is kept continuously circulated by evaporation and infiltration. Solar heat causes the water in lakes and oceans evaporates to form clouds.
Then the water falls back to earth in rain and snow and flows through rivers and other streams to the sea. The flowing water can be used as energy to turn turbines which then energy is used for industrial mechanical process. Energy flow of water is also used to generate electrical energy through a turbine and generator.

4. Biomass Energy
At first, known as biomass energy sources when people burn wood to cook food or warm the body on winter. Wood is a biomass energy source that is still commonly used but other biomass energy sources include food crops, grass and other plants, waste and agricultural residues or forest processing, the organic component of household waste and industry, as well as methane gas as a result of landfill waste. Biomass can be used to generate electricity and as a material transportation fuels.

5. Hydrogen
Hydrogen has tremendous potential as a fuel and energy sources, but the technology needed to support it still in early stages. Hydrogen is an abundant substance on earth. For example, two-thirds of water containing hydrogen, but in the nature of hydrogen are found together with other elements.
Once separated from other elements, hydrogen can be used for move the vehicle, replacing natural gas for cooking and heating, as well as to generate electrical energy.

6. Geothermal Energy
The heat contained in the bowels of the earth to produce steam and hot water that can be used to provide power to the generator and generate electricity, or for other usage such as heating homes and generating power in industry. Geothermal energy can diambial from underground sources by drilling or from other sources that are closer to the earth's surface.

7. Ocean Wave Energy
Ocean provides many forms of renewable energy, and each shape is controlled by its own power. Energy from waves ocean and the waves can be used to generate electrical energy and ocean thermal energy converted into electricity as well dapt.
With technologies that exist today, most of the energy from the ocean is less effective in terms of cost compared with other sources of energy other renewables, but still the oceans store a large energy potential for the future.
